The Continuing Ministerial Development Programme supports the ongoing growth and effectiveness of ordained and serving ministers. CMDP ensures that leaders remain equipped, refreshed and responsive to the changing demands of pastoral ministry.
Overview
What is CMDP?
CMDP provides a framework for lifelong learning and professional development among serving ministers. Through a programme of seminars, workshops, conferences and guided study, participants engage with contemporary issues in theology, leadership, pastoral care and church growth. The programme recognises that effective ministry requires continuous investment in personal and professional development.
Curriculum
What it covers
CMDP addresses a broad range of topics relevant to contemporary ministry, including advanced pastoral care, leadership in times of change, safeguarding, mental health awareness, cross-cultural ministry and emerging theological perspectives. The programme is regularly updated to reflect the current needs of ministers serving in diverse and evolving contexts across England and Wales.
Eligibility
Who is it for?
CMDP is open to all ordained and licensed ministers within the New Testament Church of God, as well as ministers from other denominations who wish to participate. The programme is particularly valuable for those who have been in ministry for several years and wish to stay current, deepen their practice and connect with peers for mutual encouragement and learning.
