The New Testament Church of God is a body of believers committed to impacting lives through Christ-centred mission and ministry. We are committed to growth – in discipleship, leadership, governance and our impact on society.

Our History

The New Testament Church of God has a rich heritage of faith, mission and service across England and Wales. From its roots in the Caribbean diaspora to becoming one of the largest Black-majority denominations in the UK, our story is marked by perseverance, conviction and community.

How We Serve

Our Mission

Networking Strategically

We will work collaboratively across departments, ministries and local branches, while building partnerships with other churches, charities, businesses and agencies.

Theologically Sound Leadership

We will equip ministers and lay leaders to lead their churches well, provide ongoing theological and practical training, and encourage young women and men to prepare for ordained and lay ministry.

Community Focused

We will live out our convictions and, through our actions and advocacy, love our neighbours as ourselves — speaking up for those who cannot speak for themselves (Proverbs 31:8, NIV).

Growing & Resourcing Healthy Churches

We will encourage spiritual disciplines of prayer, fasting, and encounters with God, and commit to discipling the whole Church – women, men, youth, and children.

What Grounds Us

Our Beliefs

The New Testament Church of God is a Pentecostal denomination rooted in the historic Wesleyan-Holiness tradition. We hold to the foundational doctrines of Scripture, including salvation through faith in Jesus Christ, water baptism and the baptism of the Holy Spirit.
