As servant leaders, we are called to respond selflessly to the needs of our communities and nation — serving spiritually, practically, relationally, and missionally.
A collective invitation to ensure the long-term strength of the Church — locally and nationally — through faithful stewardship and shared responsibility.
The New Testament Church of God is pleased to announce the re-election of Bishop Claion Grandison as National Administrative Bishop for England and Wales. The decision was made on Saturday, 28th March 2026, by the ministerial body during its gathering in Northampton.
Bishop Grandison will begin his second term on the 1st September 2026, continuing his dedicated leadership and service to the Church, its leaders and its communities. In his first term, the Church embraced a bold new vision to be ‘A relevant, relational church, reimagining God’s work in our communities and nations.’ This focus renewed attention on strategic partnerships, on developing theologically sound leaders, and on enhancing community focus and church growth. It also underwent rebranding, which has given the organisation visibility, resulting in increased attendance at Sunday services and national events across the board.
As we advance, Bishop Grandison will work with the trustees, the National Executive Committee, and the wider leadership to strengthen NTCG’s strategic direction, enhance discipleship and evangelism, and provide further training for its emerging leaders.
Commenting on his reappointment, Bishop Grandison says, ‘I am grateful to God for the opportunity to continue serving our Church as its National Administrative Bishop. I am also grateful to my fellow ministerial colleagues who have placed their trust in me. I do not take this lightly and will do all I can to serve with diligence, and hope for the future.’
The NTCG celebrates this moment with gratitude and confidence, recognising Bishop Grandison’s steadfast commitment, vision, and spiritual guidance.
We invite all members and well-wishers to continue praying for Bishop Grandison, his wife, Sonia Grandison, and their two children as they embrace their new term and remain committed to serving with excellence and faith.
Notes to Editors
#WeAreNTCG
This morning, citizens of the United Kingdom awoke to the devastating news that one of the few remaining icons of the civil rights movement has passed away.
The Reverend Jesse Louis Jackson stood as a towering figure of courage, conviction and moral clarity, dedicating his life to the unfinished work of justice, equality and human dignity. From marching beside giants like the late Rev Dr Martin Luther King, to becoming a giant himself, Jesse Jackson gave voice to the voiceless and hope to those who had been told to wait too long.
His life was not merely a witness to history but a force that helped shape it. He reminded the world that progress requires persistence, faith and the courage to challenge injustice wherever it lives. His words, his presence and his unwavering belief in the power of ordinary people to achieve extraordinary change will continue to inspire generations.
Today, we mourn his passing, but we also honour his legacy, a legacy that lives on in every step taken toward freedom and equality. May he rest in peace, and may his example never fade.

Today we have been made aware of the increasing need for food and relief items. The NTCG Head Office has been working closely with The Jamaica National Group to coordinate how our local churches can serve as collection centres for these essential supplies.
As Sunday approaches, we encourage everyone to bring food items and relief goods to your local NTCG branch. We will post a separate list. The Jamaica National Group will be organising the collection and distribution of all donations.
In addition, the call for financial support continues. Please remember that the donation link we’ve shared is official, safe and managed directly by the New Testament Church of God.

Dear Prime Minister
Building a Britain Where Everyone Belongs
Grace and peace to you.
On behalf of the New Testament Church of God (NTCG) in the United Kingdom, we extend our warm congratulations on your appointment and assure you of our prayerful support as you lead the nation at a pivotal time.
As one of the oldest and largest Black Majority Churches in the United Kingdom, having served communities here for over 70 years, we represent more than 11,000 members and over 40,000 adherents, predominantly of African-Caribbean heritage. Our presence is rooted in a deep commitment to faith, service and social justice.
In recent weeks, a matter of deep concern has arisen across our congregations and wider communities: the increasing and widespread display of British flags on lamp posts, public buildings and residential streets throughout the country. While we wholeheartedly affirm the right of citizens to express patriotic pride, many in our communities are experiencing these displays not as inclusive expressions of national unity, but as symbols that evoke anxiety, exclusion and painful memories.
Our elders recall with clarity the days of overt discrimination, windows bearing signs that read, “No Blacks, No Dogs, No Irish.” Today, though those words are no longer visible, the sentiment is, for some, being painfully reawakened. In this climate, even well-intentioned expressions of national pride can be experienced as alienating and retraumatising, particularly when framed by rising nationalist rhetoric. This is especially true for our young people, who increasingly question their place in a country they were born in and have faithfully contributed to.
We believe that national symbols carry deep meaning. They reflect who we are and who we aspire to be. When misused, whether deliberately or not, they risk becoming barriers to cohesion rather than bridges of belonging.
As faith leaders committed to unity, justice and reconciliation, we offer our concerns not as criticism, but as an invitation to partnership. Together, we can:
This is a significant moment in our national life. One that offers the opportunity to demonstrate that modern Britain is not afraid to listen, to reflect, and to respond with empathy and wisdom. We believe that the future of this nation lies in embracing our diversity as a source of strength, not suspicion.
We stand ready to partner with your government in building a more just and united society, where symbols of national pride serve as bridges of belonging rather than barriers of exclusion.
May God grant you both wisdom, courage, and compassion as you lead.
Yours sincerely
Claion B Grandison
Administrative Bishop/Chair - Board of Trustees
New Testament Church of God (England & Wales)
As servant leaders, we are called to respond selflessly to the needs of our communities and nation, serving not for recognition but from hearts shaped by Christ’s love. We serve spiritually, practically, relationally and missionally, allowing God’s grace to be expressed through every part of life.
Spiritually, we are committed to formation through prayer, Scripture and discipleship. Practically, we serve with compassion, meeting real needs and strengthening neighbourhoods. Relationally, we invest in people, equipping them to lead with confidence and share their faith. Missionally, we look beyond our walls, embracing mission and multiplication as part of the Church’s calling.
We envision transformed communities, empowered leaders and laity, deeper understanding of those we serve, stronger collaboration with our charities, and a clearer expression of Christ’s message through lives of faithful, active service.
The New Testament Church of God is committed to a future shaped by faith, stewardship, and shared responsibility. Building Legacies is our collective invitation to ensure the long-term strength of our Church — locally and nationally.
As we honour the foundation laid by those before us, we are equally devoted to empowering today’s members to play a meaningful part in what tomorrow becomes. Through thoughtful legacy giving, we can extend our ministry, strengthen our mission, and secure a vibrant future for generations yet to come.
With your voice and participation, we can continue building a Church that thrives, serves, and inspires — today and into the future.
