Rev Rachel Tracey
Rachel came to accept Jesus as her personal Lord and Savior at age 16 at NTCG Rehoboth. Since then, she has loved serving in various capacities, from Sunday school and youth ministry to worship and preaching the word. Most recently she served as the District Youth Director for the West Croydon District of churches from 2021-2024. Rachel is currently a board member of the Emerging minister’s forum.
Rachel loves to study and counts herself to be a life-long learner. Professionally, she is a qualified Biomedical Scientist and a secondary trained maths teacher. Rachel also has systemic family training and is seeking to deepen theological knowledge and understanding and bring all her areas of expertise together. Rachel’s desire for the youth is to see them truly submitted to God, valuing Christ and representing Him through the choice to love; all whilst being authentically and unapologetically who they have been created to be.
Rachel desires to see young people free; committed to prayer, worship and the word.
Rachel’s practical advice to the young people is:
- Choose love
- Remember who you are and whose you are
- Remember you are in a (spiritual) war, affecting your mind, will and emotions
- Surrender daily
Esther-Leah Sho-Silva
Esther-Leah accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Saviour at the tender age of 7 years old. Though she was very young, she was very determined to live out a life committed to God and serving His people. As Esther-Leah grew she enjoyed sharing her faith with others – particularly in song – singing in various gospel choirs at school and establishing a gospel choir at her sixth form. Esther-Leah was a member of the district youth board on her previous district, has taught children’s, youth and adult Sunday school and was the Local Youth and Discipleship director at NTCG Nottingham.
A few years after becoming a member of the Youth Academy planning team, Esther-Leah joined the National Youth Board in January of 2021. Esther-Leah recently stepped away from a career as a Centre Manager and Central Operations and Logistics Manager for a National Educational Organisation, wherein she offered academic, career-related and well-being assistance to young people and their families, to pursue further studies.
Esther-Leah is a fun-loving, yet at times shy, strategic planner and forward thinker with a heart for all children, youth and young adults to experience the love of God by ‘doing life with people’.

Shekinah Griffiths
Shekinah accepted Christ 18 years ago, at age 9, during a family devotion. Raised in a faith-centred home, she was baptized at 11 at NTCG Stafford, a commitment that laid the foundation for her life in ministry. At 11, Shekinah began her church service, teaching Sunday School, then progressing to roles including Local Youth Director (LYD) at Miracle NTCG and a position on the Nottingham District Youth Board during her teenage years.
At 16, Shekinah expanded her service by volunteering with the National Children’s Ministry Team, working under Linda Harris. This was the start of many roles: she soon joined the National Youth Academy Planning Team led by Desmond Reid and was later invited by Bishop Brown and Rev. Ruben King to join the National Youth Board. These experiences allowed her to develop essential skills in leadership, teamwork, and youth mentorship. Shekinah has a diverse background in both church and secular roles. She has worked with young people aged 3 to 30 from a variety of cultural and social backgrounds, including those with special physical and learning needs. Through her work with organizations such as The North E-LC, The National Centre for Citizenship and the Law, Camp America, Spring Harvest, and Credit Unions, she gained skills in cross-cultural communication, program planning, and inclusive teaching. Her ministry and work experience have taken her to the Caribbean, Malawi, the USA, and the UK, where she has spoken, taught, and served.
She holds a first-class (BA) Hons degree in Marketing, Advertising, and PR from BCU and has 18 years of experience managing campaigns, projects, events, volunteers, and relationships with key stakeholders across sectors such as arts and heritage, education, faith, finance, media, and social housing. In 2013, Shekinah received the ‘Exceptional Young Woman’s Award’ at the International Wise Women Awards for her impactful community and youth work. Working alongside talented youth leaders and witnessing firsthand the positive impact of youth ministry has deepened her commitment to empowering young people. Shekinah’s heart for youth is clear: “I want them to see past their physical circumstances, take God at His Word, and trust Him to make a way for them.”
