Please complete the form by selecting a first, second and third role preference. We will try as much as possible to match people with their first choice; however, as roles are filled, it might be the case that you are allocated to a role that was not specified as one of your preferences.

Team Leader

There are 6 teams this year and each team will need at least 1 male and 1 female team leader. The team leader is responsible for ensuring that their team know where they need to be and are engaged with team activities throughout the weekend.

Dining Room Supervisor

They will supervise in the dining room to ensure people have the correct allergy cards, know where to go for food and clear up to a satisfactory standard.

Lodge Leader

The Lodge Leader is responsible for access to lodges (all lodges will be locked and unlocked at centrally specified times), organising the devotions on Saturday and Sunday morning (more information regarding this will be relayed to the lodge leaders directly) and overseeing the conduct in their lodge (maintaining 11pm lights out, own room access only and reporting back to their respective head of lodge and/or the designated safeguarding lead (DSL)).

Night Shift Staff

The night shift is divided into three time periods – 23:00-01:30, 01:30-04:00 and 04:00-07:00. Specific timings will be decided between the night shift staff team, as one might wish to do one time period on Friday night and a different time period on Saturday night. Arrangements can be made for night staff to have time back in the day.

Activities Support

We are asking for at least 6 male and 6 female activity support workers. This team will be supporting the Activity Lead to ensure that all activities are enjoyable and run smoothly

Schedule Support Team

These individuals will be supporting the Schedule Lead with ensuring that the weekend runs to time.

Pastoral Support Team

These individuals will provide pastoral support to all delegates, particularly the young people, throughout the weekend. They will work closely with and report to the Head of Pastoral care.

Registration Support

The registration support team will ensure all delegates have a warm welcome to Youth Academy 2024 and are checked in and find their rooms efficiently. The registration support team must be in position at the venue by 3pm.
